Dr. Paul F. Lachiewicz  MD

Dr. Paul F. Lachiewicz, M.D. is a Board Certified Surgeon  with over twenty six years of experience in joint replacement surgery. He completed his orthopedic residency and fellowship in arthritis surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He served on the faculty of the Department of Orthopedics at UNC-Chapel Hill for 26 years and attained the rank of Professor.

 

Dr. Lachiewicz takes a personal, conservative approach to the management of hip and knee arthritis and has performed over 3000 hip and knee replacements. He maintains an active registry of all hip and knee replacement patients and is a leading researcher in the long–term results of the procedures.
